Being such a lover of good food and all things food related I don’t know quite how I have not been to the BBC Good Food Show before now, and certainly it will not be very long before I go again.
The Summer show is timed to run along side BBC Gaerdener’s World, so not only can you go and sample lots of great food you can also get some great tips on how to grow your own!
The place is generally easy to navigate round, with all the theatres and stages around the outside with all the producers stalls and seating in the middle.
The variety of producers there was extensive, and it was amazing to see so many people so passionate about what they do. Whether you like savoury or sweet, mild or spicy or just love your alcohol, there is really something for everyone.
During the day as well as making our way round all of the producers stands, sampling a lot of the great produce on display and lugging around a great haul of goodie to take home, we also managed to watch the most recent Masterchef winner Natalie Coleman do a great masterclass, caught the fabulous Glynn Purnell (@yummy_brummie) of Purnell’s in Birmingham do his stuff on the Belling Live Cook Stage and watch Saturday kitchen live in the Supertheatre with James Martin (@Jamesmartinchef), Galton Blackiston (@ChefGalton), Brian Turner and special guest Rachel Stevens of S Club fame (a father’s day treat for all the men in the audience I reckon!)
There were definitely a few stand out producers from the day in our eyes, including;

Ludlow brewing Co – http://www.theludlowbrewingcompany.co.uk

We ate so much sample food there wasn’t much room for anything else but in the interests of food we shared both a lovely buffalo burger and a hog roasted pork sandwich before queuing to get a couple of books signed but the gorgeous James Martin
The atmosphere of this event was great, happy food lovers everywhere and this made for a great day out….Foodie Heaven!
