EL BORRACHO DE ORO
Part of the Authentic Tapas group that owns one of our favourite local restaurants Don Diego this exciting new venture in Edgbaston is set to open at the end of the month. With an exciting sounding menu this promises to be one of the best openings of the year in my opinion.

MAI THAI STREETLY
This Thai restaurant seemingly opened a bit under the radar – although it’s more or a re-vamp and re-name than a new opening. From the people behind the Thai Brasserie Chain this launched last weekend with a host of ‘celebrity’ names at the launch including Danielle Lloyd & Michelle Keegan. The menu looks exactly the same as the old one for Thai Brasserie online – so I’ll reserve judgment for this until I visit!
NEW HOTEL DU VIN FOR STRATFORD
Hotel Chain Hotel du Vin are set to convert 2 Georgian town houses and open a new boutique hotel complete with their signature bistro at some point next year over in the picturesque Stratford Upon Avon.
And in other (burger) news….Original Patty Men have been announced for the next UK Burger Battle and BYRON are laughing a new restaurant in Derby on 25th May
